ITF Radix at the 3rd. TKDMeetUp in Poland

A Heartfelt Thank You from Poland

What an extraordinary weekend at the 3rd TKDMeetUp in Poland. I was truly honored to present ITF Radix among a community of passionate and mindful Taekwon-Do practitioners. It is always a privilege!

A very warm thank you to Sabum Lukasz Grygiel, who organized this wonderful event for the third time. The European Budo Centre in Stara Wieś was the perfect place for connection, growth, and rediscovery of the spirit of the Do. It was a great pleasure to be back in Poland and to see familiar faces. The sense of continuity and friendship is something I value deeply.

Family Makes It Even Stronger

This year my son Melvin joined me on the mat. He is naturally athletic, which made demonstrating the movement applications of the Radix system both practical and playful. Having him there added heart and energy, and I could place my confidence in his capability, which made our presentation shine.

Norway’s Lier Taekwon-Do Club Represent

I was delighted to share the experience with fellow practitioners from Lier Taekwon-Do Club: Raimon, Andreas, and Eirik. Their presence felt like a bit of home in Poland, and I am grateful for the support, camaraderie, and joy they brought to the event. Look out for fresh photos at Raimon’s website!

A special note of appreciation also goes to those who capture these moments so we can share them further. You can see more through the lens of Raimon Bjørndalen at bjorndalenphotography.com.

Respect and Warmth for Fellow Presenters

I want to extend heartfelt respect to my fellow speakers, whose dedication and insight made every session meaningful:

  • Sabum Artur Osuchowski, whose clear teaching and refined approach the importance of creating good habits and routines added real value to the learning atmosphere.

  • Sabum Łukasz Grygiel, whose visionary leadership and insight anchored the MeetUp, weaving mindfulness and transformation into every workshop

  • Sabum Sławomir Listkiewicz, whose movement sessions awakened both body and mind in ways that were profound and playful.

  • Prof. Janusz Szopa, whose practical take on Academic Yoga offered balance and harmony to our training days.

Sharing the platform with such skilled educators was both humbling and energizing.

ITF Radix in Action

At its core, ITF Radix is about uncovering the roots. It turns patterns into purposeful, real world applications and shows how choreographed moves can serve as effective self defense. Presenting this years program to a group committed to depth, awareness, and technical excellence was a joy.

The feedback among the attendees was great and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to present my ideas to a such knowledgeable group.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

This experience reaffirmed why Radix exists: to connect, to inspire, and to deepen our understanding of Taekwon-Do through mindful action. Thank you to the organizers, to my brave young assistant, to my fellow Norwegians, and to every thoughtful presenter and participant for making this such a rich and unforgettable event.

I have a feeling that we will see more ITF Radix in Poland in the near future!

With warm respect and enthusiasm,

Roy Rolstad
