Learning something new about things you already know

Around a 100 Taekwon-Do enthousiasts, from white belt to 7th dan came together to train and have fun in Elburg on the 23rd of September. Six different school participated in the full cycle of ITF Taekwon-Do training. Several workshop addressed all aspects of Taekwon-Do training. All elements of that cycle come together in self-defense. Todays goal was: learning something new about things you already know. This where the Radix Project comes in. After a short introduction and explanation of the principles, the two groups started honing their skills, starting with Chon-Ji Tul, since this pattern is an (almost) complete system and has endless options for applications and tactical training. The groups quickly understood the mechanics of their defensive moves, since most of them had practiced these for years. Of course timing and sound tactical positioning and movement took a little longer. At the end of each workshop, though, participants gained some valuable new perspectives on their existing skills. Mission accomplished.
