ITF Radix Training with Sahyun Robert Boer in Elburg, February 2026

On Saturday, 7 February 2026, ITF Radix Netherlands invites practitioners to a special 3.5 hour ITF Radix training session led by Sahyun Robert Boer.

The training will begin at 11:00 AM and will take place at:

Gymzaal De Wimpel

Wimpel 4,

Elburg, The Netherlands

This extended session will focus on exploring practical combat and self defence applications through ITF Taekwon Do patterns, in line with the principles of the ITF Radix project.

Training Focus

The ITF Radix project is dedicated to understanding Taekwon Do as a complete personal combat system. By studying the 24 plus patterns developed by the late General Choi Hong Hi, practitioners learn to move beyond form and into function.

Through structured partner work and progressive drills, participants will explore:

  • How pattern movements translate into realistic self defence

  • Tactical decision making under pressure

  • Distance, timing, and positioning

  • Linking traditional technique to modern application

The goal is not only technical improvement, but deeper understanding.

What Is ITF Radix

The word Radix means “root” of a plant or “the smallest meaningful unit” of a language. In this context, it represents the foundation of Taekwon Do.

ITF Radix seeks to research and revive the tactical roots of the ITF patterns, uncovering practical methods that remain relevant for real world self defence. Each movement is studied as a functional tool, not just a formal exercise.

This approach allows students to reconnect with the original intent of the patterns and develop skills that work under realistic conditions.

Registration is open until Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
