ITF Radix at TKDMeetUp

In June 2023, Lukasz Grygiel from Poland invited me (Roy) to present on ITF Radix at The TKDMeetUp in Poland. It was a truly fantastic experience, and a little different than an average Taekwon-Do camp. In short, the TKDMeetUp was a camp for men over 35 years. The venue was the European Budo Centre in Poland -Dojo Stara Wies.

Master Philip Lear from England and Sabum Lukasz Grygiel were also speakers at the camp, and it was a privilege to have the chance to work with such high-class presenters.

Master Philip, Marek, John and Lukasz outside the cabins in the morning before class.

Lukasz Grygiel is a man of many projects. He is the organizer of the camp.

We had some fun putting filters on some pictures to make them look like the old encyclopedia photos.

For the ITF Radix presentation, I did “Chong Ji a complete fighting System”
Showing the fighting applications of the first pattern. In general, the Polish Taekwon-Do competitors are known to be world-class fighters, topping the list of best nations in the ITF world and European championships for as long as I can remember. so it was an honor to have the opportunity to present our project to a group of athletes with a well-developed fight IQ.

The program was well received and the participants expressed great enthusiasm for our approach to applications and the way we link patterns up to realistic combat.

The venue was truly like going back in the 1400 century

Raimon Bjørndalen took pictures, take a look at them here

Along with me from Norway came a bunch of guys that I’ve known for many years. Check out Raimon's pictures to see all the fun we had.
